Convergences
Creating through the Other—that was the challenge that gave rise to this exhibition. I invited different people to define the contours of these works: their theme, material, scale, colour, or even an abstract concept. Accepting this proposition meant embracing uncertainty, relinquishing authorial control, and allowing the creative process to be guided by the expectations of others. This shift proved to be transformative. Each work presented here emerges from a dialogue—at times fluid, at times tense—between my own artistic language and the desires of those who prompted its creation. Some challenged me with the unexpected; others brought stories that gradually intertwined with the images, becoming invisible co-authors. Every proposal was an invitation to push beyond familiar boundaries and explore new possibilities. The resulting body of work not only reflects the intentions of those who initiated it but also expands the understanding of the creative act itself. Rather than simply responding to external directions, this experience questions how creativity reinvents itself when confronted with limits imposed by another. The exhibition thus becomes a trace of this interaction—an exercise in listening, interpretation, and discovery. To everyone who entrusted me with their challenges, I offer my sincere gratitude. To the audience, I extend an invitation: experience these works not as isolated pieces, but as traces of encounters. Ultimately, to create in response to another's expectations is, in essence, to rediscover oneself through the gaze of the other.
